Crooks Peak

This was an exciting commission – I love mountains, and fortune smiled from the first as not only was it a gloriously sunny day (in January!), but also Madeleine’s father had an intimate knowledge of the local countryside and managed to find the perfect spot from which to paint.

"Commissioning a painting was not something I had considered until I saw Paul's work on the BBC's Home Front programme. I loved his style and thought it would be great if he could take a trip down to the Mendips and paint our favourite view for my husband's birthday.

He produced a range of paintings in different sizes and my only problem was deciding which one to chose!
